Midsummer Madness







June 2007

The day after the Midsummer Solstice, we present a night of fabulous folk, mystical melodies and pagan pomp... Music to inspire summer shananagins - to roll in meadows, make daisy-chains, frolic through fields, punt down rivers and, of course, the odd sacrifice to ancient gods.

Cover versions have long been the source of many a surprising discovery. Just which version is superior? Which cover versions are actually better than the original? What is the most covered song of all time? Which is the weirdest cover version, the most embarrassing, the funniest?
